We are gearing up for an exciting spring cruise on the ‘Spirit of Dana Point’. This cruise is just 3 weeks from now over the Presidents School Holiday. We schedule this cruise to San Pedro, Marina Del Rey and Catalina Harbor only every other year. There is a lot to see and experience. Adult Advisors are especially encouraged to join us for the Spring Cruise on the Spirit of Dana Point. Unlike the summer cruise, we usually have more room for adults. On Saturday afternoon, while in Marina Del Rey, we will be hosting some LMU professors for a tour of the ship. I may be able to schedule a tour of the LMU campus at the same time if any Mariners would be interested. The university, which is my alma mater is only a short distance from the harbor. Contact Skip for registration and feedback on a tour of the LMU campus.

Congratulations for another stellar performance by our Mariners at RENDEZVOUS’ recent Sea Scouts State Competition. They brought back, under the leadership of Boatswain Jackie Wetzel and Boatswain Mates Liz Fletcher and David Cornella, 3 of the top 4 prizes: “Windjammer”, “Schooner” and “Ketch” which required nothing less than respectively 85%, 70% and 60% of all Ship Events!
